NavLive Wins Spot in Construction Startup Competition 2025
We’re thrilled to share that NavLive has been named one of the winners of the Cemex Ventures Construction Startup Competition 2025, a global programme recognising the most innovative startups shaping the future of construction.
This year’s competition brings together 13 pioneering companies from around the world, each rethinking how the built environment is planned, delivered, and maintained.
NavLive earned its place in the “Future of Construction” category for our AI-powered handheld 3D construction scanner, which makes surveying and site documentation faster, smarter, and more sustainable.
Showcasing in Helsinki at Global Pitch Day
In November, we’ll be heading to Helsinki, Finland, to take part in Global Pitch Day during the RECOTECH conference, where we’ll showcase how NavLive is transforming on-site data capture for construction professionals everywhere.
What is the Construction Startup Competition?
Now in its eighth year, the Construction Startup Competition is one of the industry’s leading innovation challenges, backed by major global players including Cemex Ventures, Caterpillar, Ferrovial, Hilti, Trimble, Saint-Gobain, and Haskell.
The programme highlights technologies driving digital transformation in areas like autonomous systems, robotics, industrialised construction, and smart building design.
Building the Future of Construction with AI
Developed from robotics research at the University of Oxford, NavLive’s handheld scanner can capture and convert complex building data into accurate site drawings within minutes. By helping teams reduce rework, delays, and repeat visits, our technology delivers a faster, more efficient way to capture the world around us.
“We’re honoured to be part of this year’s competition and to be recognised among such an inspiring group of innovators,” said Chris Davison, CEO of NavLive. “It’s a milestone moment for our team and a clear sign that the construction industry is ready for smarter, AI-driven tools that make site data more accessible and reliable than ever.”
The Global Pitch Day in Helsinki takes place on 18th November 2025, where NavLive will join fellow winners, investors, and global leaders in construction technology to showcase solutions shaping the future of the industry.
